About the Show

In the second season, “Last of a Breed,” Laramy continues to showcase his skills and knowledge of nature and hunting. He hunts and survives off the land in the same way as the mountain men of the mid-1800s. Born of Indian ancestry and trained by true mountain men, Laramy uses only his handmade bow and a traditional .54-caliber Hawken rifle to travel the routes once taken by the original mountain men.

The show takes Laramy all around the nation and even the world, from deep in the Canadian Rockies to the Midwestern plains. He hunts, traps and survives the hard way – the “Sasquatch” way. In a world of high-tech hunters and modern-day weapons, Laramy highlights what’s real and traditional and shows viewers the true greatness of the great outdoors.

About Laramy

Laramy “Sasquatch” Miller was born and raised in the mountains of southern Colorado. Standing 6’7″ and weighing in at 270 lbs., Laramy has earned the nickname “Sasquatch.” At the age of 5, his father bought him a .22-caliber rifle and a brick of shells and told him that for each prairie dog he brought home, he would get a nickel. Needless to say, by that afternoon, the local prairie dog population had hit an all-time low – and that’s where his story begins.

As a youngster, Laramy was heavily influenced by his uncles, Dirk and Colt Ross, who were hunting outfitters and mountain men. They are who taught him how to be a modern-day mountain man and ingrained in him the survival and hunting skills needed to thrive in the Rocky Mountains. They were among the first to have their own production company and to distribute hunting videos across the country, fulfilling their lifelong dream. In 1995, Dirk and Colt were killed in a plane crash while scouting for elk in Colorado, but their dream of providing exciting and educational hunting shows to the world continues to live on through Laramy.

Laramy started his professional career guiding in the mountains of Colorado. He expanded across the country enhancing his hunting knowledge and skills. His dream became a reality when he was given the opportunity to follow in his uncle’s footsteps and share his knowledge and passion for hunting with the world.
